Artist Bio
The history of objects, places, and people forms the basis of my work. Through conversations, findings and situations, I play with memories through performance and objects. There is a strong emphasis on my personal physical endeavours and challenges, I immerse myself in history,  researching places and people that inhabit them.

Intention:
Title: The Postie & The Postal Horse

For my participation in Susak Expo 2026, the C.I.A. intends to dispatch me as their roaming postal emissary – The Carousel Postie – to the island, with the act of  delivering a horse to the island.

This was first attempted in May 2022 for the Susak Expo, and later the same year to Pada, Lisbon in November 2022, by conventional couriers however both attempts failed, as a result The C.I.A. will be sending their own postie.

In this work an everyday act of delivery is transformed into a playful, political gesture that highlights the UK’s departure from the EU, and the lost connections, relationships and privileges we had. The postal services from the UK to Europe now require customs declarations for parcels, this major change that took effect on January 1, 2021.

I will also take up temporary duty as the Susak Expo dedicated courier, delivering mail and small artworks sent by participating artists to locations across the island each day. This daily service will turn the act of correspondence into a live, moving artwork: connecting creators and audiences, marking paths across the landscape, and reviving the slow, thoughtful magic of sending and receiving things by post.

Rooted in our ethos of play, connection and reimagining familiar systems, inviting the community to engage with the island as both a place of arrival and exchange, where even the most unexpected deliveries become part of the shared story of Susak.

This performance will be my final act as a postal worker of 2 and ½ years, as I will no longer be working for the Royal Mail when reentering the UK.
