ArtTeatar BOUM!
14
Time is the most enigmatic physical dimension in the universe.
A single grain of sand contains the archaeology of all terrestrial time.
A 14-year journey,
spent more in the backwash
than in the swift currents;
sand from 14 years ago,
from the shores of New Jersey (Ocean City),
reaches Susak,
moving against the direction of its own migrations.
It arrives here to be made to vibrate.
Andrea Crnković is a director, performer, and author. Her work is dedicated to researching poetic languages and suggestive, intimate experiences over rational interpretation. She investigates interdisciplinary approaches, intertwining theatre with visual arts, music, and architecture.
Gianfranco Mirizzi is a visual artist and architect. After years of exploring themes of institutional critique, he became the institution itself as a licensed architect. And this is the core of his research: art exists in experience; its liberation is an archaeological st(r)atum.
Together, they founded Arteatar BOUM!, an artistic organization based in Rijeka, Croatia, dedicated to researching and creating innovative, experimental theatre, new media, and digital art practices.
